Brother Chris Hazlip in years gone by (anybody seen or heard from him recently?) posted a question on Socialism. I saw this article and thought it would be worth posting...

Very Happy I wasn't asking the question, Brother. That's the name of the article I linked here.

God bless.

Thanks for the article, while I enjoyed some of Bro. Chris Hazlip's articles posted on his website (http://www.tigerfx.com/theology.articles.html) I was very surprised to hear someone claim the Bible teaches communalism.

He's on the schedule to preach at the Winston-Salem bible conference in NC where Bro.Andy Proctor pastors. Labor Day weekend, by the way...

And Sis.Joanna? Common is the LAST word I'd use to describe Bro.Chris... I'd just as soon use it on Bro.Jim...

LORD bless,

I didn't mean that Bro. Chris was common, only that he taught communalism. I wouldn't dare call any one on this board common, they're all so spacial. So so very spacial Wink

For the record: Nobody has ever heard me claim that the Bible teaches communalism. (Or socialism, or communism, or any of the many other synonymous terms.) I have taught that the Bible does provide examples of it, but that is not the same thing as teaching it. In like manner, the Bible also provides examples of adultery, but it does not "teach adultery".

I thought it important to make that distinction.

In point of fact, quite the opposite is true; and, anyone who has listened to me teach or preach can vouch for that.

God bless,

I have...and I will. In fact I have heard him go to great lengths to show that Acts is NOT encouraging or advocating communalism.

Thank you, Brother for fixing this. I remembered something similiar to this but the thread has been long gone. My memory is fading quickly!

Great to see you back posting!! Hope it's not the last time!

Bro. Hayzlip, sorry for not writing this sooner. Forgive me for miss understanding the case you where making regarding communism in the Bible and falsely acusing you of "teaching it" rather then "teaching about it."

Hi Sister Joanna,

Don't worry about it: I took no offense. I couldn't find my Communist Party USA lifetime membership gold-card anywhere, so I thought I should masquerade as a decadent Capitalist Pig for a while. (I could have sworn I left that thing next to my autographed copy of Comrade Lenin.)

Do Svidanya,
(er, uh ... Later,) Wink
