I was going to suggest putting a "D" next to a member's name if they have passed away. I would think that if someone tried to contact another and didn't know that they were no longer with us, that perhaps they would think the person was rude for not responding.

In my younger days, I would contact names of people that lived in neighboring states to ask them if they wanted to join our church if there was none close to them. I would send a statement of our beliefs to them. Three people did, but moved their memberships at later dates. I was thinking of that too. What Baptist wouldn't want to fellowship with another Baptist?

Seems like the prudent thing would be to just remove these dear saint's account.

What is served by leaving them and making a notation?

If you remove their account, will you still be able to search what they wrote by their account name?

If the answer is "no" then I don't think their account should be removed. I like being able to search by this feature.

Not sure if Brother Larry Killion was added to those who have gone on to be with the Lord. What a blessing this brother was!
