Requesting prayer for my Dad, Curtis Pugh.

1) His hemoglobin is running low. If it doesn't soon come up, a blood transfusion will be necessary.

2) He has lost a lot of vision in his right eye. What he sees is like looking into an old mirror with white swirls across it (like a hurricane on a satellite map - his description to me.) He's not feeling well at all and this with his vision is a true trial for him. He is to go out of town on Monday to see a specialist as the eye doc close to us has no idea what is wrong. We plan on going with him. Please pray for Dad. Thanks.

PS - please pray for me too. I get to ride with him as he drives!

Certainly will keep each of you all in our prayers! Have been blessed much with your Dad's writing ministry since returning to Oklahoma...

Just a question on the above quote... Is "we" generic or specific to more than just you n your Dad...?

No US driver's license, yet?

LORD bless you all!

Fear Him!

So glad to hear of your enjoyment of Dad's writing. I will tell him and that will be an encouragement to him!

We in this instance is the Mister and me. Smile

No US license yet. I have to sit the written test AND the driving test. One of my cousins is the guy who rides in the car with you and he'll either keep me laughing or annoy me - so I'm hoping to get someone when he is off work.

Thanking you for the prayer!! Must go pack.

We will be praying for you all, especially for your Dad. Those of us at Grace Baptist Church think and speak highly of your Dad in our fellowship and prayers.

Sis. Ruthie we are praying for your dad, that he will get good news. Let us know how things go, and we add him to the prayer list at church as well.

Thank you Brother Proctor and Brother Jim!!

The eye specialist says that this in Dad's eye is blood. They don't know where the blood is coming from though. It's possible this could be a platelet issue that sometimes accompanies MDS.

It should go away anywhere from a day to a month. It depends on how fast his body gets rid of it. He is to return to the specialist in 3 weeks time.

I just learned that Dad will be getting a blood transfusion tomorrow. This is an all day ordeal for him. He'll be ready to run a marathon after he gets it and his hemoglobin rises but the concern at this time is that his iron doesn't rise too high.

He hasn't needed a blood transfusion since last July. Perhaps the Lord might be pleased to allow Dad not to need one for another long time.

Smile

Ruthie

Dad has been admitted to hospital with pneumonia. They said both of this lungs were totally white in the x-ray. I'm not sure what that means but we both tried to give suitably impressed expressions. Seriously, we were very surprised.

Dad says he has exhibited none of the traditional symptoms associated with pneumonia and the day before he was up, around and out of the house.

He will likely be in the hospital for several days.

And I'm not sure what God is teaching me - but it seems when Dad gets ill, I do too. I cannot remember a time of feeling so rotten but no pneumonia symptoms either. More of the bad autoimmune symptoms of pain, light headedness, fuzzy thinking - did I mention pain?

Maybe it is so I will have more compassion upon the sick.

Prayer much appreciated!

We will keep praying for you, Sister, and for your Dad. Sorry to hear of the difficulties you all have been going through Sad It has a way of making us look even more for the day of our redemption when we shall be like our Lord Jesus Christ with glorified, sinless, and sick-less bodies Smile

Thank all of you who have remembered us in prayer!

Dad is home now. He's a little bit weak, as expected, but looked good when I saw him yesterday and he sounded a bit tired today but said he is feeling better. They still have him on antibiotics of course.

I'm a lot better also. Still struggling a bit, and yes Brother Proctor, I'm looking forward to the day when I am in the presence of my Lord and no longer confined to this sin-sick body. Smile

Brother McCool - we look forward to seeing you all very much when you come up!

Smile
